Rescue 117 was tasked earlier today to a vessel aground near Ballycotton, Cork. There was nobody on board. Previously the @USCG had rescued the 10 crew members from the vessel back in September 2018. The vessel has been drifting since and today came ashore on the Cork coastline. pic.twitter.com/NbvlZ89KSY

Engineers and senior officials from @Corkcoco will inspect the 80-metre cargo vessel MV #Alta later today, which ran aground during #StormDennis near #Ballycotton in East #Cork yesterday. Some local people are clearly ahead of the posse though! @rtenews pic.twitter.com/OaXyGWS5Ex

Storm Dennis washed this ghost ship onto Ireland’s coast.

Up-date on MV #Alta, aground on rocks near #Ballycotton: a contractor has boarded the ship. There’s no cargo on board. Cork County Council says there’s no visible pollution to the Ballycotton Bay Special Protection Area. Consultations continuing the future of the wreck. @rtenews pic.twitter.com/qX0kDdt7JI
