Erik Bergin is a Swedish journalist and writer currently working as Foreign News Editor at Sweden’s second largest national newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, SvD (the Swedish Daily News).
Mr Bergin was the paper’s U.S. Correspondent from 2013 to 2017, based in New York, covering U.S. business and politics, including the 2016 and 2020 election campaigns. He reports regularly on American politics and major news stories.
Among his recent reporting was the paper’s coverage of the Democratic primary in South Carolina in February 2020, and subsequent reporting on the election, as well as the coronavirus crisis in America and elsewhere.
He regularly produces analyzing news stories and features on American politics and business, many of which are found in Swedish in this section.
